Mechanical engineering is an engineering discipline with the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of systems that shape modern society.Engines, machines, and other mechanical devices require mechanical engineers for development and manufacturing. They work on devices that generate electricity, such as generators, internal combustion engines, and steam and gas turbines. They also develop machines that consume energy, such as refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
